Ive had very few days off since we did the Super Bowl here in SF, my union does all the shows. I was in our shop for the auto show this year after doing Jag/Land, Hyundai and Mazda the last few years in LA and SF. I was going to take a few weeks off. But I have been really interested in the VR coming, I tried all the versions that we could at E3 and Game Dev, so I pre ordered the Oculus and I am upgrading my tower. I got a call from the guy who does the Oculus booth since it was taken over by Facebook, the booth is huge now, its really two and they run crews 24/7 to build it. So I said I would work on it and hopefully get some time playing with it before the show opens. I have only tried the space game, I hope they have iRacing like some other booths they did. I will still get a couple weeks off after this show, maybe I can get some info from the Oculus people.

Oh like the Valve or Sony? I will see if I can give them a try. When a show closes we usually work that evening to start taking it out and I go early and walk around for a couple hours before close. I saw a review of the pros and cons and Oculus seems like it will be pretty open to anything a PC will run. I am actually pretty excited for the experience kinds of things people are planning, like touring places in VR. It would be cool to watch movies in a virtual IMAX theater or maybe in races like F1, WEC, rally they could have an onboard camera. Seems like a lot of stuff will be coming, tons are in development and a bunch have been made Oculus friendly.

As a naive outside with a rough understanding of the design problem, I like the Valve/HTC solution to the position tracking problem. Seems more...modular.
